The company’s main products include sodium chlorate, potassium perchlorate and other chlorate products. MJSnow is the brand of its products. The company was founded in 2007. It has nearly 400 employees in its production base in Mao County of Aba Autonomous Prefecture in northwest Sichuan Province. With rich electric power and water resources of the prefecture, MJSnow has been experiencing rapid growth since its establishment and become the largest chlorate production company in China. Its potassium perchlorate production capacity ranks first in Asia. MJSnow has become a well-known chlorate brand in China.
Sodium chlorate, a main product of the company, is an important oxidant widely used throughout the world and a primary product of chloric alkali chemical industry. It is mainly applied in paper pulp, water treatment, textile, electronics, smelting, pharmaceutical, oil exploitation and breeding industries and its production is encouraged by the national government. Potassium perchlorate is a new substitute product for making fireworks and crackers widely used in China and abroad.
The company’s production technology abides by the concept of recycling economy and follows the path of energy saving and consumption reduction to develop a recycling industry. This recycling economic system utilizes the byproduct hydrogen generated in its 450 kiloton annual sodium chlorate production as material for gem production and produces 600 ton of gem a year. The remaining byproduct hydrogen is used to react with carbon monoxide generated from 300 kiloton of carbide production to produce 50 kilotons of dimethyl ether a year. This clean substitute of oil and gas can satisfy the fuel demand of farmers and herdsmen of the entire prefecture. These four projects at Yaping Industrial Cluster of Dongxing Township in Mao County can form a recycling economic industry cluster with annual production exceeding 5 billion Yuan.
Milestones：On January 18, 2008, the Phase I project with 12 kiloton annual sodium chlorate production capacity started operation.
On November 18, 2008, the Phase II project of three sodium chlorate production lines with 37.5 kiloton annual capacity started operation.
In June 2009, the Phase III project with 18 kiloton annual potassium perchlorate production capacity started operation, and the company became Asia’s largest company with over 10 kiloton of annual potassium perchlorate production capacity.
On July 20, 2009, the Dongxing project with 450 kiloton annual sodium chlorate production capacity laid foundation, and the first phase sodium chlorate production line with 300 kiloton annual capacity is under construction.
