Chengdu NewSun Biochemistry Co. ltd., formerly the Chengdu Zhaoyang Biological Hormone Research Institute established in 1985, is a R&D driven high-tech enterprise accredited by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is a corporate member of Sichuan Quality Management Association and a member of China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals; a recipient of the ISO9002 certification and the UKAS certification; and a recipient of "AAA Credit Standing" issued by Chengdu branch of Agricultural Bank of China. In addition, the company is in the process of getting ISO14000 certification, the international certification on environmental management system.
Over a decade's development, the company now has a total asset about 50 million yuan. And a maturing organization and management structure has formed:
1. A biotech research institute with a focus on the R&D of new technologies and new products, led by 10 experts in soil, plant, biology and chemistry areas, and in collaboration with universities and research institutes.
2.Modern production base, scientifically managed and operated, for the two main product series: the natural brassinolide products solely produced by us in the nation, and the patented Agri-SC soil conditioners.
3. A domestic sales network covers 21 provinces and municipalities in our country.
4. Our international department has established business relationship with clients in over 20 countries, for example, Chile, Egypt, Spain, UK and those in Southeast Asia. Our natural brassinolide 481 is well regarded as not harmful to the environment by international experts.
5. A sales unit for bulk compounds to downstream producers. In addition to over 20 bulk compounds including brassinolide, we can provide advanced formulations and processing technologies.
The Achievements:
At present, we have successfully developed the third generation "Shuofeng" branded product series, where each product is specially formulated for its target plant, such as wheat or flower, and the development of the 4th generation products has already been started.
"Shuofeng" series products have been listed by the Ministry of Agriculture as the major growth regulators to promote in the 21st century.

"Houji (the Chinese god of farming) Golden Statue" for "Shuofeng brassinolide 481", the 6th Yangling Agri. High-Tech Products Expo, 1999 "Excellence in Quality Management", 2000 It was awarded as "Advanced Quality Control Company" by Sichuan Quality Control Association in 2001. Furthermore, it has passed ISO9002 and are striving toward passing the ISO14000. "Famous Brand from Sichuan", issued in 2002, for the Shuofeng brand name of the company in 2002 "SF" Brand Brassinolide (Rapin lactone)-481 passed the legalization of " product material of A Grade green food" Future Direction:

In Dec. 2000, we successfully developed the "new process for the production of brassinolide through enzymes", and the company has applied for Technological Innovation Fund from Ministry of SCI & Tech. for the process.
In Nov. 2000, we successfully developed the "Agri-SC deep tillage free soil conditioner". The product received a patent in the nation.
It's our goal to innovate constantly,to increase the technological content in our products,and to further refine the sales network for a wider market coverage. We will rely upon the technological advantage accumulated over the years, both in terms of the researchers and the technologists we have, and the abilities in technological innovation, to fully utilized the abundant natural biological resources in Western China, through the state-of-art biotechnologies we already have or are going to have.
