1.Product characteristics and uses
It could be divided into solid caustic soda and liquid caustic soda .Solid caustic soda is white, and mainly includes blocky caustic soda, flake caustic soda, clavate caustic soda and granular caustic soda. It is soluble in water, and meanwhile will give off a lot of heat, and the water solution has a soapy feeling. The use of caustic soda is very extensive. It could be used as chemical agent in c chemical experiments, in addition, because it has a very strong absorption properties, it is also could be used as drying agent. Caustic soda has a very wide application in civil industry, and it could be used in many industries. The industry which uses the caustic soda the most is production of chemical medicine, and second is the industries of papermaking, aluminum melting, tungsten refining, rayon, staple rayon and soap manufacturing. What’s more, in the production of dyes, plastics, medicine, organic intermediate, old rubber regeneration, and in the manufacturing of sodium metal, in the electrolysis of water, na din the production of inorganic salt, and also in the making of sodium borate, chromium salt, manganate, phosphate need large quantity of caustic soda too.
